Dunkirk (2017) directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden and Harry Styles. 

The movie was acclaimed since its release in July 2017. 

Operation Dunkirk portrays the evacuation of sea, land and air of the homonimous region in France occupied by the english army. Tommy, the only one who survived a german attack, finds on a beach a great number of troops awating for evacuation. The troops managed to leave the beach thanks to a hospital ship and a prive yacht, driven by Mr Dawson and his son Peter plus the contribution of a hurricane pilot.

The reason why this movie is so considered by the public opinion is obscure to me. Of course, there are little dialogues in a movie that is pritty much visual and musical, but the plot seems flat as if nothing really important occurs throughout the story. 

Techically, great landscapes, facial expression , dramatic moments and emotional soundtrack. But, beyond this compositional surface ? Boring. I had to replay it twice.
